People Manager
Use the People Manager to create a new person and then manage the aliases and labels. Similar to Merging, which combines individual nodes into one existing node, creating a New Person consolidates multiple email addresses into an entirely new node.
Add a Person
Name
Start by clicking the People Manager icon located on the left side of the conversations menu bar to reveal the manager screen.
Next, enter a name of your choosing into the Name text field.
Add Aliases
Use the ASSOCIATED ALIASES address field to search for existing addresses within the dataset.
First, click Add an Alias to reveal the drop down list of aliases.
Then, make your selection(s) by clicking on a field.
Lastly, click Add Selected to complete the process.
Label
First, click on + Add a Label to reveal the list of labels.
Next, select a label(s) for that person and click Add selected in the top right of the list view.
If the desired label is not available in the drop down list, you can add it the Manage Labels view. See Manage Labels below for directions.
Note
Labels are used to organize specific nodes into customized categories within the Comm Analysis and Conversations interface. This is helpful when identifying a group or specific type of user. Labels can be assigned to both new or existing people.
Save
Click the Save button to complete the process. You can add additional aliases and labels at a any time through the People Manager.
Note
Your new person will now be added to the list view in the Conversations Dashboard Email Pane.
Manage Labels
Start by clicking the People Manager icon located on the left side of the conversations menu bar to reveal the manager screen.
Then, toggle to Manage Labels to view, delete or create new labels.
Add a label by simply entering a description of your choosing in the Name text field.
Then, click Save to complete the process.
Note
Your new label will now appear in the labels list in both "Manage Labels" and when adding a label to a new person in "Manage People."
